It is of course possible that you will find a nice looking synthetic wig, at a good price, which looks good on you and that is just fine of course. You will find that human hair wigs vary considerably in quality. A good wig has soft hair which has been processed very little.

The hair is straight and quite long and may be treated in the same way as your own hair by curling and waving it. You cannot treat synthetic hair with anything hot or you will ruin it.
A really good wig will fit your head closely. In fact a well fitted wig will look as if the hair is natural and growing out of your head. Most lower quality wigs will have a quite obvious sewn parting which is not at all real looking.
The final thing to look for is that the density of the hair must be just right for you. If you are a young woman you will wear a very dense wig and it will look just great. When you get a bit older your hair thins somewhat and a dense thick black wig will not look right on you. The wig must be chosen carefully to match your age and your face so that it will be natural and look just great on you.
